Dragon Ball FighterZ (PlayStation4)

One of THE most anticipated Dragon Ball Z video game in its entire history! Dragon Ball FighterZ (PlayStation 4) gained so much traction and popularity well before the game even released worldwide. It is not difficult to tell why, with a brand new fighting system and incredible graphics which look as close to the anime/manga than ever before. The hype surrounding this game is legit, and we absolutely love playing this game, especially online! It released worldwide on the 26th of January 2018, which is quite rare for DBZ video games, as they're initially released in Japan and then later worldwide.

Developed by none other than Arc System Works, they did a superb job with this game. We have not had as much fun with a DBZ game of this ilk since the Budokai Tenkaichi series! It is usually one or the other when it comes to gameplay and graphics but Arc Systems seems to combine the best of both worlds. Published by Bandai Namco, the game contains both the Japanese and English dub, giving you the best of both worlds.

Dragon Ball FighterZ (PlayStation 4): Story & Gameplay

Dragon Ball FighterZ (PlayStation 4) - Android 18 Image

We do not want to give too much away so we'll keep it relatively brief, that way you can jump straight into this game. The story in FighterZ revolves around Androids, with Android 16 making a return (Yay! by the way). And the brand new Android 21 who we have never seen before, designed by Akira Toriyama himself! A large number of Z Warrior clones impersonate the Z Warriors and start to take down the fighters. Your job is to get to the bottom of this mystery, linking up with the other DBZ Warriors along the way.

Have you ever played the Marvel vs Capcom series? If so, then will will look and feel familiar to you. This game borrows the same gameplay mechanics and controls, played at a fast pace it is super fun! Very reminiscent of the anime and manga that we are all accustomed to. It is easy to get started and jump straight into fights, but if you want to become a master you have to work on it. Combine combos, light and heavy attacks to blow your opponent away with style.
